I thanked Karla for doing so much for my mom and she responds “Awe, thanks! She feeds me! and she’s cute! I kind of feel like that’s what I’m supposed to do. When I plant flowers for her, I think, I’m doing this for your dad—that he would want me to since he can’t—that he would want her to be surrounded by flowers.” Karla never met my father, he passed away 6 months before we met and started dating, but I know he would’ve adored her.
It was a great Mother’s Day, I think my mom enjoyed it. 🙂 (photo below)
