We are excited to start our venture, and hopefully, the bees like their new homes! It was a cold rainy week, so the bees weren’t too happy when we first got them. The weather is better now and they are busy flying around.
Tom and Skip, who have been beekeepers for years, were kind enough to mentor us and help us hive the bees. Skip is letting us use his beautiful backyard to keep the bees (it was too much trouble to get our own neighbors on board). At Skip’s, they have a beautiful view of the pond and plenty of flowers and plants to pollinate.
Now I’ve got to come up with some honey bee logos. Here’s the beekeeper in action!
